About us

SunSmart utilizes intermodal transportation, combining road and rail transport. The goal of the SunSmart Group is not only to increase transport efficiency. As a responsible and future-oriented company, we view intermodal transport as a unique opportunity to deliver goods in a more sustainable and environmentally safe way.

SunSmart is a logistics operator combining the reliability of rail with the flexibility of road transport. We develop efficient routes that meet the demands of modern business: accuracy, environmental responsibility and delivery predictability.

In multimodal or combined transport, goods are transported using the same cargo unit across two different modes of transport — for example, a truck and a train — to optimize logistics processes and time. Together with efficient terminal technologies and increased digitalization, this forms a highly effective supply chain. There is no longer a need for labor-intensive transshipment of goods, and SunSmart enables efficient and secure transport within this system.

This approach allows us to always select the transport mode that best suits the timely execution of our clients’ and partners’ international logistics tasks.  We consider intermodal transport to be a tool for sustainable development — allowing businesses to optimize costs, improve safety and reduce their carbon footprint.
